Arrival:

Arriving at Chateau de Sacy in the early afternoon, I was immediately captivated by its stunning setting. Nestled atop a hill, the chateau offered panoramic views of vineyards, a charming village, and a beautiful church. The warm welcome from the staff only heightened my excitement for the days ahead.

Stepping into my room, I was met with sheer luxury. The spaciousness, combined with large windows framing the vineyard vistas, created an ambiance of tranquility and sophistication.

Exploring Reims:

After settling in, I embarked on an exploration of Reims, despite it being a quiet Sunday. The majestic Cathedral and a delightful champagne tasting at Les Delices Champenoises provided a perfect introduction to the city's charm. Most places in Reims are closed on Sundays and most of the day on Monday. If you're planning this trip along with multiple other destinations, you will want to visit Reims Tuesday-Saturday.

Afternoon at the Spa:

Returning to Chateau de Sacy, I indulged in an afternoon of relaxation at the spa. From a blissful massage to rejuvenating sessions in the sauna and outdoor Norwegian bath, every moment was pure bliss. The Norwegian bath, overlooking the vineyards, offered a serene retreat amidst nature's beauty.

For dinner, I opted for the tasting menu at the onsite restaurant, savoring exquisite dishes paired with fine wines. While there were a couple of dishes that didn't quite meet my expectations, the overall experience was a culinary delight.

Perfect Start to the Day:

The following morning, breakfast in the restaurant provided a perfect start to the day. Set against the backdrop of floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the vineyard views, gentle music played as I savored each bite of the delicious menu. After breakfast, I spent my afternoon on the famous Ave. de Champagne.

Exploring Ave. de Champagne, I immersed myself in the region's renowned champagne culture, savoring every sip along the way. As evening fell, I returned to Chateau de Sacy for another memorable dining experience, savoring the exquisite cuisine and impeccable service once more. While many opt for a day trip to Reims from Paris, I strongly advise indulging in a two-night stay at the Chateau de Sacy if your schedule permits. This allows ample time to immerse yourself in the charm of Reims city center and explore the renowned Champagne houses on Ave. de Champagne. Moreover, it affords you the luxury of fully relishing everything this French Chateau and Spa in Reims, France has to offer.
