Arrival:

Arriving at Chateau de Sacy in the early afternoon, I was immediately captivated by its stunning setting. The French chateau sits on top of a hill, has panoramic views of vineyards, a charming village, and a beautiful church. The warm welcome from the staff set the expectations for this luxury hospitality experience. As I walked into my room, the beautiful decor and views of the vineyards took my breath away! I still day dream about the ambiance of tranquility and sophistication I felt while staying at this fairytale French Chateua & spa in Reims, France.

Exploring Reims:

After settling in, I explored Reims, despite it being a quiet Sunday. The majestic Cathedral and a long awaited champagne tasting at Les Delices Champenoises provided a perfect introduction to the city's charm. Most places in Reims are closed on Sundays and a majority of the day on Monday. If you're planning this trip along with multiple other destinations, you will want to visit Reims Tuesday-Saturday.

Afternoon at the Spa:

Returning to Chateau de Sacy, I spent the rest of my afternoon in full relaxation at the spa. From a relaxing massage to rejuvenating sessions in the sauna and outdoor Norwegian bath, every moment was pure bliss. The Norwegian bath, overlooking the vineyards of Reims was a serene retreat.

For dinner, I experienced the tasting menu at the onsite restaurant, paired with fine wines. While there were a couple of dishes that didn't quite meet my expectations, the overall experience was a luxury.

The Perfect Day at a French Chateau & Spa in Reims, France:

The following morning, breakfast in the restaurant provided a perfect start to the day. Imagine sipping your espresso with gentle music playing in the background, surrounded with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the beautiful vineyards. After breakfast, I spent my afternoon on the famous Ave. de Champagne. Exploring Ave. de Champagne, is a Champagne lover’s dream come true! Once the champagne houses closed, I returned back to my French chateau to enjoy the luxury hospitality of the fine dining experience at the onsite restaurant one last time.
